Richard Groves

Richard Groves is an author, international lecturer, media producer and co-Founder of the Sacred Art of Living Center in Bend, Oregon with his late wife, Mary, sacredartofliving.org.  He is currently the creator and executive producer of the Soul & Science project.   Richard has been working in the fields of caregiver wellness and end-of-life spirituality for over thirty years as a bioethicist, chaplain, hospice administrator and University professor.  His book, The American Book of Living & Dying: Lessons in Healing Spiritual Pain is in its fifth printing and has been translated into several languages. The New York Times compared it to the groundbreaking work of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross.   Richard presents workshops and lectures on topics of healing throughout North America, Europe, India and Asia.  His workshops are informative and inspiring— with a unique balance of lessons from many global wisdom traditions and clinical best practices.

Over twenty thousand health caregivers have graduated from Groves’ Sacred Art of Living & Dying training series.  Richard presently lives in the Pacific Northwest where he invests much time and energy with his several grand and great-grand children.
